We are very sorry to announce that the Pembroke Dock 1918-2018 Concert of Remembrance event did not go ahead on Friday 9 November due to the adverse weather conditions.
The decision was taken by Trustees and Management at about 5.00pm on the evening of 9 November in response to the choirs voicing concern that their members may be unable or unwilling to travel (particularly older choristers and those who lived across the bridge or in more rural or coastal areas). Staff, trustees and volunteers, as well as contacts at both choirs, have done their best to ensure that everybody involved was informed as soon as the decision was made.
As well as phoning, emailing and posting on social media, the Trust also requested that local radio put out a notice. The Town Council, the venue (Pennar Community Church) and both Choirs also broadcast this message through the channels available to them. Volunteers and staff also made their way to the venue to speak to anybody else that missed these notices and to apologise to them personally.
We will be rescheduling the concert in the very near future. All those members of the public who have purchased or reserved tickets will be able eligible to use their tickets to attend the rescheduled event, or to get a refund. Staff will be keeping a record of anybody who contacts us regarding this, in order to inform them of the alternative arrangements or to offer a refund directly.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 01646 684220 from Monday if you have any questions.
