A native of Pembroke Dock, Gareth graduated in Architecture and worked in London before returning to Pembrokeshire in 1981 to set up Pembroke Design Ltd, a Multi-disciplinary practice of Architects and Surveyors, now with three offices in West Wales.  He has long been active in heritage circles, being responsible for the Conservation Masterplan for Pembroke Dock which led to funding via the Heritage Lottery Fund for the community’s Townscape Heritage Initiative.  Gareth is a Past President of the Royal Society of Architects in Wales and fairly unusual for his profession, holds both RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) membership as a Chartered Architect and RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) membership as a Chartered surveyor.
